Holographic is a surface without a fixed colour, which is why this box carries almost nothing else. Every angle delivers a different cast — lilac head-on, pink tilted one way, a rainbow band where the film bends at the fold — and any artwork laid on top would be competing with a ground that is already moving. So the design is a subtraction: one window, one heart, one line of black type. The black is the only fixed value on the pack, and that is what makes it read.

The heart is cut, not printed. It rises out of the window's lower edge into the opening, so it is the same holographic material as the box rather than a sticker or a shape laid on top — which means it changes colour with the rest of the face while the lashes behind the window stay matt and still. Set directly under it, the wordmark gets a pointer: the eye follows the heart down to the brand without a rule, a band or a second colour doing the work.

One pair, whole, in a window large enough that nothing gets cropped: the curl and the taper are the product, so the pack does not hide them behind a narrow strip of acetate. At retail that is the whole argument for the film — a holographic box moves as the customer walks past, where a printed one only sits there. The black mark keeps it from tipping into novelty, which is the risk with anything iridescent.
