Print is the only process on this box, and that is the point rather than a limitation. With no foil, no film and no emboss, the entire face is artwork — so one die carries a flat tint, a photographic marble and a full-bleed floral illustration without a single specification changing. Four-colour printing reproduces all three, which means the box does not have to be re-engineered to look like a different product; it only has to be re-plated.

What stays constant is what makes them a range. The same aperture, the same white tray with its two shallow wells — one lash seated in each, held on its curve instead of lying loose on a flat card — and the same wordmark, in which the A is drawn as a lash rather than as a letter. The face can change colour and subject three times over; that mark does not, and it is the mark doing the work of holding three printed designs together on a shelf.
